Excellent customer service. Cashier was very friendly and patient. Items in store are clean and displayed very well. I enjoy shopping there often

I think the community should donate warm clothes and blankets to social services that give out to the poor and homeless who can't afford to buy them. Salvation Army won't give vouchers (or give away any of their donated items to the poor or homeless). There are a few free clothes "places" in town (such as Penn House at 1035 Penn in Lawrence), but very few and they have very little, compared to the large amount of people who need warm things but can't afford to buy them. It would help a lot of people if the community gave more warm clothes and blankets to churches and social services that give out to the public for free -- such as Penn House. This would help a lot of people from being very cold this winter. I am not affiliated with Penn House but I know they give away free things to the poor and this is very needed and appreciated.

I'm a bit irritated. I've never once been challenged about carrying a purse (medium sized) through this store until today. The young man at the counter said that I'd have to leave my bag behind the counter as I walked in. A couple of things: 1) I've donated much, MUCH, more in the past month as we are downsizing (and I've lost 40 pounds) than I could ever steal in my purse in several year's worth of shopping. 2) Having it immediately implied as soon as I walk into the store that I'm a potential thief is galling, 3) I own a small retail shop with tons of small and fairly valuable items out on display unlike their Fort Knox of counters for the "valuables" but I don't identify my purse carrying customers as thieves because I'm afraid. If someone is acting odd, I keep an eye on them. Works for me with very little loss from theft. 4) The area behind the counter is not secure and the sales clerk is not always there, a recipe for theft of another kind, a much more damaging theft. So I declined to give the clerk my bag, I opened it to show contents coming and going but I'm not likely to donate or come back again anytime soon. I'll do my thrifting in Kansas City or Topeka without the aggravation of a search or leaving my bag with a stranger behind a partially attended counter.. Sad, as all of that stuff is donated. I pay for my goods and yet have a much more trusting attitude toward my customers.

Wonderful, very large selection. They sort by size and color, unlike some places who sort their clothes in the strangest of ways. *Cough* Goodwill *Cough*

Really good selection of items. Be prepared to spend some time looking through the clothes since nothing is sorted but by color seems like. The furniture seems a bit pricey but it goes to a good cause I guess.
