Well the animals aren't in good shape especially the reptiles but the store is good for supplies if you are in Lawrence and want an animals other than a dog or cat I recommend pet world
Okay variety of items, but staff seems unwilling to be helpful, like they are afraid to get into trouble. Petsmart staff much more engaging and friendly, and ready to price match.
The staff is always helpful. I try to shop local, but when my local folks don't have something I need I'm glad Petco is available
I brought my 7 & 9 year old kids in to pick a fish to add to our tank. We quickly decided which one we wanted. We were waiting to be helped. Instead, the older employee turned the tank lights off and said, "I'm sorry. We're closing in about 15 min." It was 6:43 and they close at 7:00. There were several customers still in the store. My kids were devastated, but we left. It's obvious we were an I convinced to them.
Friendly, helpful staff. My preferred pet supply store!
