My goodness, how far it's fallen. This is no 4.6 Star restaurant! Yokohama (23rd Street) has always been our favorite, but visiting Lawrence this time we found them closed Sundays. So we found ourselves at Wa. It's been years since last meal at Wa but I do remember leaving satisfied. Not this time. The girls and I got five rolls between us, and all but the Vegas were quite disappointing. The tempura was chewy. The flavors of the sauces were all off. The raw fish wasn't moist, but dried out. I feel as though I were robbed of $80.
My favorite sushi place in Lawrence. Always friendly, often offering free edamame; yummy specialty rolls. Some of the best nigiri I've had outside of the pacific northwest.
My new favorite!! Amazing quality and options. Just a shame its on mass st but such things cant be helped.
I loved this place. The atmosphere is relaxing, the service was excellent, and I had the best salmon skin roll I've eaten in 20 years. They have a nice selection of sake, we had two bottles, and they were both presented beautifully as well as being delicious. The rest of the meal was equally good, and I will be coming back whenever I'm in Lawrence.
The best in town. Period. Quiet. Staff is super attentive. And the food is great. Especially the nigiri
