I am so impressed with this store. It’s a treasure, a gem and it’s very charming, unique, and best of all has great prices. It’s definitely a place to talk about. I make sure to stop at LSM every week. My house is filled with great finds from LSM. This wonderful store has two wonderful owners who are very helpful, knowledgeable and creative. They have helped me with decorating ideas and are great consultants. That is also a great service they provide, that is also very affordable.
Plus, on some weekends, there's four shops in all counting one down the street a little bit. This makes for quite a stimulating variety.
I love this place! It is one of my favorite stores in Lawrence. I always find many many items that I want! The owners are so creative and unique with their merchandise and displays! Love love love it there!
Nov. 20, 2010: I have purchased many nice things at this shop and have sold many items to them, also. It had been a happy, satisfying experience until I, unfortunately, needed to return something. BUYER BEWARE!!! I was told it that has always been their policy to not take returns, unless something mechanical, for example, does not work when you get it home. If you happen to buy a large quilt top, as I did, make sure you open it up completely to check for stains. In the middle of a crowded store on a busy day, I did not do this but was very disappointed when I got it home. On returning the fabric, I was told that it had been originally priced accordingly (stained) and they would not refund what I had paid. I guess that's the end of that relationship. And I thought they were so nice!
We love this store! We can not get over what high-quality furniture and other items they offer - at such consistently low prices. Their ever-changing landscape is very fun, and much appreciated!
