I've done business with Paradise several times an always been exceptionally pleased. The first time I met them, my husband and I were finishing a room in our basement and putting in laminate flooring. We were impressed with how much good advice they gave us, even though we were doing the install ourselves. So when we finished a few more rooms in the basement and decided on carpet in the main rooms and tile in the bathroom, we went back to them. This time, we had them do the work and it was fantastic. Done on time, and good quality work!
Outstanding service. Reasonable prices. As a professional in the carpet cleaning business for 35 years, clients often ask me where they can purchase new flooring other than the big box retailers. I tell them to go talk to anyone at Paradise Carpet One. I have done business with Jeff Wyatt since the store opened and I know that he and his staff genuinely care about every single customer. They have a great selection of carpet, tile and wood floors. Whether you only need one room in your home or have a large business or church need, they will take care of you with reliability and total professionalism.
These people are great! I`ve had my house carpeted by them. Liked it enough that I had them do my kitchen floor. We are now getting Quartz counter tops put in and they are going to help me with bathrooms. They have went out of the way to satisfy me and treated me like family.
The worst business I have ever dealt with. They lack professionalism in all respects. Unfortunately, at the time, the carpet in my new home was installed by these people. Right from the beginning, I have continued to find carpet tacks that were not secured correctly & my toddler grandsons & I have cut our feet several times on them. To get them to provide any follow-up service requires REPEATED phone calls which are then responded to with numerous excuses. Their customer information filing system is a joke. Too bad I had to recently step back into that store for some needed information on my carpeting & the employee I dealt with seemed like he knew nothing about the carpeting business at all. And the manager is just about as bad. If you want even adequate service go anywhere but this place.
I agree 100% with the above rating. Worst business experience of my life. Purchased $4000 worth of carpet gave 50% no return phone calls from Matt weeks at a time. Found the polyester carpet would not wear on stairs by 2 professional. I asked them to review w/me why this was sold when I asked for the most durable carpet they had. They argued, kept my $2000 harming my kids from moving in by one month. They refused to refund us and turned it over to their attorney that hung up on us twice telling us we must have an attorney to speak to him. True business character and practices are judged how you resolve problems. They have devastated our family and our financial situation. Do not do business w/paradise carpet this is the only way they will change their way of dealing w/customers. Did not have one complaint of any other vendor in Lawrence. Go to Floor Trader in Lawrence she communicates well and perfect service.
I have to say, I was shocked to read some of the other reviews listed, because none of those have at all resembled my experience OR the experiences of the many people whom I have referred to Paradise.
When the carpet on the main floor and ugly vinyl flooring that came with the house needed to go, my husband and I also did that ourselves, but bought the materials from Paradise. Again, they helped us with measurements and calculations and gave us lots of good advice. After that process, we realized that the kitchen was kind of an eyesore, since it had that same ugly vinyl flooring that we had just ripped out of the entryway. This was a job for Paradise (WAY too many cuts for us to want to do!). Again an excellent job! Now we have just made our fifth purchase with Paradise Carpet One - my 8 year old daughter was past due for new carpet. Jessica was amazing with her - incredibly patient (which, believe me, is a FEAT with my little flibbertyjibbet) and we're so excited to have the new carpet installed in about a week!
