I called ahead to make sure they took my insurance and that they had someone who could see a 10m old. The person on the phone said yes.
Staff and receptionist were great. I had qn injury to my ankle. They took x-rays and referred me to a specialist. They helped me out the best way they could. Everyone was professional. I would go here again.
He said we could still be seen but would have to pay for the services up front and in full. I broke down in tears. "If we had the money, my daughter wouldn't have state aid insurance. Thanks."
I walked out crying and a lady in the lobby followed me and asked why they wouldn't see my daughter. I told them he said he wouldn't take my insurance. She then offered to pay for my daughter's visit...
Has one great experience with dr Dunlap the first time I went into first med. the second time around I went to go see dr burt for the first exact same condition, and dr. Burke didn't ask me many questions about how I was feeling, he only took the small amount of information the nurse wrote down and was not really asking me how I slept or feel when I wake up, nothing. Complete waste of time. DO NOT WALK IN, schedule an appointment with a another dr other that dr burt. Seemed to not really care at all about how I was feeling. Very disappointed.
I have been once for walk in care and had a very good experience. There wasn't a very long wait and the nurse practitioner I saw was extremely helpful.
That is the kindest thing that has happened to me that day. It's really nice when humanity shines through the dark. I couldn't have her do that though...so we went to the ER.
I drove there and stated the check-in. The same person I talked to on the phone checked me in. When we got to the insurance he took my car and then told me he knows he told me on the phone they take it, but they actually don't....
I have been a patient here for the most part since 2004. They're open 7 days a week, and are closed on only a few holidays. I have never had an issue with the office clerks or doctors. I only see a doctor when I need to. I have been to other Dr. office's in Lawrence, but I always return here.
