I am so happy that I found Jake's Auto Care; I was referred there by a friend who was also pleased with their work and prices. They have worked on my car three times. Jake always explains the repair and the cost has been much less than I expected. I love it that he shows me the worn part. I really like doing business with a nice guy like Jake.
Would not recommend this place, they do not call to inform about the status of your vehicle and when you do call them, they are very impatient. Asked them if they can pull out the vehicle on a Saturday morning so that it can be picked up and it wasn't done. Called about it and the guy was very rude and impatient once again and hung up the phone. No apology or acknowledgement of error just said oh they pulled out the wrong car and pulled it out later that day. Would have been nice to receive a phone call letting us know what happened. Poor customer service and so impatient with customers. The time and money spent to try to get the vehicle out was wasted.
I've been a customer of Jake's for several years. He's honest and competitively priced. I'm a shade tree mechanic so I know when things are done right. He makes sure everything is done correctly and doesn't surprise you with anything. Very good communication. Finding a good mechanic you can TRUST is extremely rare. Five stars all the way.
While driving, from out of town, our car started acting up pretty severely. We stopped at Jake's, due to the good reviews and without an appointment. He did a check of the car and gave some suggestions of where I needed to go to have the transmission repaired.
I got a great deal getting me sideview mirror replaced that would've been $700 at the VW dealership. Great service!
