Marilyn and Randy are so professional and great to work with. They don't judge, they just look out for you and help you understand the process. I will never go anywhere else. We have very complicated tax items and they are not phased in the least. SUPERIOR!!
In short, poor quality of work and poor customer service.
Randy has been doing my taxes for both my household and my small consulting business since 1988. From the first time we met him, we loved his honesty, outgoing personality, excellent sense of humor and deep knowledge of accounting. Since we first began working with Randy 27 years ago, multiple members of our family have signed on as clients and have remained with him. I can't recommend Randy Kahn highly enough.
Overall, the superb service for the business is overshadowed by the complete disregard for the personal returns. I am going to have to rate Kahn & Associates a 2 out of 5...
When I took in my personal taxes though, I cannot get him to answer his phone. I cannot get my documents back to take elsewhere, because he does not seem to be open after April 15th (at least he never returns his calls or answers the phone). It has been 2 months and I am really nervous because I do not know if I owe, or if I am getting a refund.
Perhaps I could've overlooked this except that they misspelled my name AND my address on my tax return which would be bad enough except it was written correctly on literally every document I gave them.
I had excellent results and feel that I can really trust the service. The service charge is reasonable; the service is reliable. Marilyn knows what she is doing.
For personal taxes, I am rating Kahn & Associates an F. I have never had worse service.
I was also assessed a "communications fee" for what I can only assume was a single email I received requesting additional information.
When I took my business taxes in, Randy Kahn got them done quickly and did not cost me an arm and a leg. I rate him an A+ for knowledge and speed. I have never had better service or responsiveness commercially.
Very uninterested in customer service for individuals. I had a single meeting with my tax preparer and was told to pick up my completed information from the secretary.
